Episode 8. That's the very word we need - czyli o "very" jako przymiotniku

Tym razem przekonamy się, że tak jak przysłówek very jest nadużywany, to z przymiotnikiem very  sytuacja wygląda zupełnie odwrotnie. Ponadto, całkiem przypadkiem, wyda się moje upodobanie do pewnego koktajlu.

Wyrażenia, które mogą się przydać:

a balmy summer evening
remain
by its very nature

Zdania użyte jako przykłady:

Those were the very lies that mendacious politician said.
That's the very thing I needed.
I fell asleep at the very beginning of the film.
I took a seat at the very back of the bus.

Zdania do tłumaczenia:

1. Do końca życia pozostał bardzo religijną osobą. - To the very end of his life, he remained a deeply religious person.
2. Nasz hotel znajduje się w samym sercu miasta. - Our hotel is located/situated in the very heart of the city.
3. W tym właśnie momencie zadzwonił telefon. - At that very moment the telephone rang.
4. Praca policjanta z natury rzeczy jest niebezpieczna - The job of a police officer is dangerous by its very nature.
5. Zostaliśmy do samego końca przyjęcia. - We stayed till the very end of the party.
